WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE
The Madison Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is hoping everyone in Madison will be seeing pink in October to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The second annual Light the Town Passionately Pink for the Cure event begins on Friday October 10, 2008 as the State Capitol Building is bathed in pink light. The same weekend an inaugural event entitled WOMEN ROCK FOR THE CURE will take place at music venues throughout the city.

"We are so excited to paint Madison pink again this year through the Passionately Pink for the Cure celebration," says Michelle Heitzinger, executive director of the Madison Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure. "This is truly a great way to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month."
Madisonians wishing to support the event can light their homes, offices and businesses pink by purchasing pink lights. Orange Tree Imports and Madison Lighting are selling pink lights leading up to the October 10 event. A portion of all sales will benefit the Madison Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
